Over the last 15 years, we have loved photographing weddings at Stonewall Resort, nestled in the beautiful mountains and hills of Roanoke, WV. Tim Ray Photography has photographed over thirty weddings at the resort in all the different wedding locations and seasons. Stonewall Resort is a lakeside resort in a peaceful serene setting set on 1,900 acres. It encapsulates everything beautiful about West Virginia – the forest, lake, deer, wild life, serenity, and nature all mixed with elegance. The Great Lodge Room
One of the many locations for weddings is the Great Lodge room of the resort as photographed below. It is perfect for larger weddings. Surrounded by picture windows overlooking a turquoise winding lake and mountain side, the views can be seen during the wedding ceremony from the Lodge Room. In addition, vaulted cedar ceilings and a large stone fireplace create a comfortable ambiance to any wedding day.
Lightburn’s Restaurant
In addition to the large lodge room, Lightburn’s restaurant, located on a hill sitting above the lodge, is surrounded by pristine views of the golf course, lodge, lake and surrounding mountains. It is elegantly nestled amidst the golf course above the lodge.

Stonewall Resort has many outdoor locations from the lawn to the patio to host weddings. Both offer views of the lake, wildlife and mountains.
